By combining an unusually long variable-angled camera slider track with mini-jib functionality, the DC-Slider is truly remarkable displaying both state-of-the-art technology and precision engineering.
Additionally, the DC-Slider quickly transforms into a vertical 6-foot tower. In this configuration the DC-Slider’s counterbalancing feature ensures precision camera moves are smooth and steady.
And that’s what makes it so unique!
ANGLES: The DC-Slider allows a wide rance of variable angle operations. No matter how acute the angle, the counterbalance system will assure steady and stable camera movements. A simple, positive-locking adjustment feature allows for camera placement at the exact vertical or off-axis position for creative imaging. Minimum and maximum heights of the DC-Slider in the multi-angled positions are dependent on the height of the tripod.
MINI-JIB: In the Mini-Jib mode, the DC-Slider operates a working diameter of 63″ (160cm) on the horizontal. The counterbalance system is locked to ensure unvarying movements through the full-range of the hib arm’s capabilities. An easy adjustment of the parallelogram bar will allow the camera to stay locked on to a subject through the rance of the jib arm’s vertical travel rather than staying in a fixed attitude. The maximum and minimum operating heights of the Mini-jib function are dependent on the height of the tripod.
TOWER: With the simple removal and repositioning of two handles, the DC-Slider becomes a tower allowing for an exact vertical camera move through the full rance of the 63″ (160cm) track. Minimum and maximum heights of the camera moves, when mounted on the tower, are dependent on tripod configuration. The counterbalance system maintains a steady resistance to camera moves reducing the possibilities of irregular movements during the start or finish of a camera move.
SLIDER: The DC-Slider can be mounted on a single tripod or placed on level or uneven surfaces and the constant counterbalance feature will always maintain a uniform pressure that ensures uniform camera movements throughout the full tracking length of 63″ (160cm)> |
CASES | The DC-Slider system comes complete with customized system cases.
WEIGHTS | Camera and flat palte are precisely balanced with a variety of available weights to guarantee exact counterbalancing.
WHEELS | Specifically formulated composite wheels ensure smooth, silent operation of both the camera and counterbalance system.
HANDLE | A removable crank-handle controls the camera system across the full span of the DC-Slider in all configurations and positions.

The Matthews Multifunctional DC-Slider is used for sliding camera systems in multiple angles. It also works as a mini-jib arm and can transform into a 6′ (1.828 m) tower. Equipped with a counterbalance mechanism, the DC-Slider offers a stable shooting platform even when set in extreme angles. A total of 26 lb (12 kg) counterweight allows you to perfectly stabilize a camera system weighing up to 22 lb (10 kg) on the arm. Using the positive-locking adjustment feature, you can place the camera at the exact vertical or at an off-axis position for creative imaging. The slider is mountable on a single tripod, and also can be placed on leveled or uneven surfaces. The LoProfile design allows you to operate the DC-Slider from a tabletop.
In the Mini-Jib mode, the DC-Slider offers a horizontal working diameter of 63″ (160 cm). You can lock the counterbalance mechanism to ensure steady movements through the full-range of the mini-jib arm. Easy adjustment of the parallel support bar ensures that the camera stays locked on to a subject through the range of the arm’s vertical travel rather than staying in a fixed attitude.
The DC-Slider can be set up in the tower-mode by simply removing and repositioning 2 handles. As a tower, the slider allows for a vertical camera movement through the full range of the 63″ (160 cm) track. The counterbalance system maintains a steady resistance to camera movements, thus reducing possibilities of irregular jerks during the start or finish of a camera move.
Equipped with a removable crank-handle, the DC-Slider allows you to control the camera system across the full span in all configurations and positions. Specially formulated, the composite wheels ensure smooth, silent operation of the camera and counterbalance system. Minimum and maximum heights of the DC-Slider in multi-angled positions, mini-jib mode, and tower-mode are dependent on the height and configuration of your tripod (not included).
